Lucuma are a relatively small, evergreen tree that grow to 4m.  When mature and growing in the right conditions they are fairly prolific fruiters.  
 
Lucuma fruit is green with bright yellow flesh.  The fruit is dry, and has a delicious creamy citrus flavour with a hint of maple and a dash of kumara.  Lucuma fruit is often added to deserts and smoothies.  
 
Lucuma is self fertile, but will do better with a buddy.  These are two year old trees, and will be ready to fruit soon.
 
Position
Lucuma grow best in full sun, in free draining soil.  
 
Care 
Protect from frost and wind when young.
