Jujube is an ancient tree that has been grown for thousands of years for its fruit, which is used in a wide variety of ways.  The fruit has a sweet taste, has an edible skin and crisp white flesh like an apple when young, eventually maturing to be more like a wrinkled date.

Jujube is self fertile, but will do better with a buddy.

Position

Jujubes are hardy, and under the right conditions will grow 5-10m.  They can tolerate a range of soil conditions.  Jujubes will grow better with good drainage, and in a warm sheltered place.  Irrigation will improve their performance.   Root suckers should also be removed.

Care

Protect from frost and wind when young, and overwatering.

All plants are in a 3.5l recycleable plastic pot, unless shown otherwise.
